Let’s start with the first step…
1| Write Down Your Goal
This one is obvious, but you might be amazed that some people just say the goals they want to achieve for the year but never actually write them down. It’s been proven that individuals who write down their goals have an 80% higher chance of achieving their goals, as suppose to the person who doesn’t write them down.
So, get out your notebook or a piece of paper and write down all your goals. Don’t be afraid to write down big goals because the next steps I will be sharing with you, will help you achieve ANY goal. Regardless of how big or small, your goal might be.
2| Write Down The Strategies
When you write down your strategies for each goal, ask yourself: How can I achieve my goal? For example, if you want to get healthy and fit then your strategies might look like this:
Get Healthy & Fit
- Loose 20 pounds
- Get a gym membership
- Eat healthier foods
The strategies are the larger overall tasks that you need to complete in order to achieve your primary goal.
3| Write Down The Tactics
Some people think tactics and strategies are the same. But the tactics are the specific tasks that you need to take to achieve each strategy.
Example from the strategies above.
Lose 20 pounds:
- Exercise every day
- Cut out sugar
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Get a gym membership:
- Look for a good gym
- Pay for the membership
Eat healthier foods:
- Buy more fruits and veggies
- Drink a green juice every day
- Food plan the day before
4| Create An Action Plan & Deadline
To assure that you complete all the steps above, schedule in your calendar what days you will be completing the tasks that will get you closer to your main goal. You can also set alarms to remind yourself of what day and time you need to complete certain tasks.
Lastly, you need to set a deadline by when you want to reach your goal.
Bonus Tip: Believe In Yourself
I know for some of you “believe in yourself” sounds cheesy. But it’s true; you HAVE to believe in yourself. Because you can do all the steps above but if you don’t think you have the ability to attain it, you will possibly just give up. That is why this step is vital to achieve your goals.

Doing this will help keep you focused on the next achievable step instead of being intimidated by the size of your goal.
