5 Tips On How To Get Your Life Together

1. STAY ORGANIZED BY HAVING A PLANNER

The benefits of having a planner are many; it can help you stay organized months in advance. It can help you to remember important things like when your bills are due, a special event, an important appointment/meeting or simple everyday things.

A planner can also be useful to write down your goals and by when you want to accomplish them. It helps you to be organized in your family life, work-life, your home, and daily responsibilities. The planner that I use on a regular basis is the Kate Spade Planner; it is simple, elegant, and very useful. I highly recommend it if you are searching for a new yearly planner.

5 Tips On How To Get Your Life Together

2. HAVE YOUR HOME CLEAN & TIDY

This goes hand in hand with keeping your home organized and clutter-free. You also want your home to be clean and tidy. What can help is to have a cleaning routine.

Having a morning and night cleaning routine will keep your home tidy. Take 15 to 30 minutes out of your day to clean in the morning and at night.

Here goes an example of my quick every day morning and night cleaning routine (not including deep cleaning).

Morning Routine:

  • Make the bed (it takes about 2 minutes and makes a huge difference in the way you feel! Trust me!)
  • Clean up the bedroom
  • Clean the restroom
  • Put dry dishes away

Night Routine:

  • Wash dishes
  • Clean countertops
  • Clean dining table
  • Clean up living room
  • Clean my desk

Because of my night cleaning routine, I wake up to a clean home… which feels great!

The most important tip is to clean up after yourself throughout the day. It will help the dishes not pile up to the heavens, and it will save you time during your morning and night cleaning routine.

3. SIMPLIFY

Simplifying your life can help you obtain more time, money, and peace of mind. Sometimes having too many material things end up complicating our life instead of bettering it.

If you have things in your home, workplace, and a car that you have wanted to get rid of now is the time. Get rid of things that you don’t need or don’t find useful anymore; it will save you time cleaning and organizing because you will have fewer things to have to organize.

Also by not buying things that you don’t need, it will help you save money in the long run. It will also give you peace of mind because the less clutter you have in your overall life, the more calm and peaceful you will feel.

4. TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH

Health is so important, without it; you can’t do what we would normally do in our daily lives. Don’t ever take your health for granted instead, try your best to improve it.

Improving your health will not only make you feel better, but it will also help your mind so you can be more efficient to keep your life balanced.

5. HAVE A POSITIVE MINDSET

This has to be the most important tip of them all. Having a positive mindset when you are trying to get your life together will make it so much easier for you. I know it can be hard to stay positive in a world that is mostly negative but it doesn’t mean you have to be negative like everyone else. You can choose what attitude and mindset you want to have over your life.

I always forget to take care of myself. But I know I’m not the only one because most go-getters usually forget to do the same… 😉

Such great ways to get your life together! I don’t know what I’d do without my planner to keep me on the straight and narrow…if I didn’t have somewhere to write everything down I’d never remember it! Having a positive mindset is so important too, when we view life from a positive rather than negative perspective it becomes so much easier to make a change for the better. I find practicing gratitude really helps too. Stopping to think about all the things we have to be grateful for makes us realise life isn’t quite as bad as it might seem. It’s a great way to feel instantly happier too 🙂

Loved reading these practical tips! Simplifying is my favorite strategy to use whenever I feel overwhelmed. Another great thing that I tend to 1) do a deep clean of the house and 2) just go over my closet/beauty stash and throw away / donate products that I haven’t used in a long time – this always seems to clear my head 🙂

I’ve been decluttering before decorating for Christmas and it’s really been helpful. I’m also getting my planner ready for 2020! I can’t wait to be more productive and start getting more done!
