Having a balanced life is something we all have to work on every day. Trying to keep the balance between your job, health, family, spirituality, hobbies, and home is not easy, and some might think it’s pointless to do so.
But if you can achieve some balance in your life, you will feel better about yourself and your life.
I will be sharing what has helped me and what I have researched that can benefit you! 🙂
1) SET YOUR PRIORITIES
What are your priorities in life? For example, my priorities are my spirituality, my husband, family & friends, my health, my home, and my work.
What is most important to you? Figure out where you need more balance in your life.
You sometimes might need to ask yourself, which of our priorities you need to focus on more because sometimes we forget to make time for our other important priorities.
Priorities always change throughout our life. So adjust your priorities accordingly and use your time wisely.
You are the only one who knows where you need more balance in your life. Make time for it, instead of getting distracted with other unimportant things. Which leads to the next topic…
2) REMOVE DISTRACTIONS
I have to work on this every day, but I have gotten more aware of things that distract me, and I don’t let it consume me anymore.
Do your best to block out distractions and get your priorities done first. Your days will go by more smoothly and your day will feel more productive.
3) TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH
Health is so important, without it; you can’t do what we would normally do in our daily lives. Don’t ever take your health for granted instead, try your best to improve it.
Improving your health will not only make you feel better, but it will also help your mind so you can be more efficient to keep your life balanced.
4) BE IN THE MOMENT
Learn to live in the moment. You can’t be physically present but mentally absent.
Not having your full attention on each of your priorities will make you feel mentally unbalanced. If you are working, focus only on that. Don’t think of what you have to do next because it will keep you from performing at your best.
5) HAVE FUN & ENJOY LIFE!
Although each individual’s priorities are different, what we all want is to enjoy life and be happy. Make having fun a priority as well. Make time for your favorite hobbies during the week and enjoy your life! 🙂
SUMMARY
Even though we won’t ever achieve perfect balance in our lives, we can all improve and get better at it.
Take time every day to get back more balance in your life. Not only will you be more efficient but you will feel happier and more satisfied with your life 🙂
For me, removing distractions is so important. My main distraction is social media, so I usually like to try to put my phone in another room and not glance at my notifications every 5 minutes.

I’ve done just the first point. For me, it’s important to accept that while prioritizing you have to give up many things that sound nice but you can’t put everything into 24 hours and have to make choices to be able to work on the priorities.
