If you want to better your life, there are things that you will have to change to improve it. Even though it might be difficult to change all of these at once, you can start with one at a time and then continue to another.
I am excited to share these with you because I am sure it will help you better your life and you will feel much better about yourself 🙂
1| Stop Being A People Pleaser
“You can be a kind person, with a good heart and still say no.”
I have been guilty of this one, but I have gotten SO MUCH better at this. It’s hard saying no to certain people, especially if they are good people. But at the same time, if your plate is already full and you just say yes because you feel bad, in the end, you are just going to feel unhappy.
I have noticed that the older you get, the more responsibilities you have, so you need to choose wisely what you say yes too. That way you can have time for what is most important to you.
Tip: Have space between your tasks during the day. You don’t want to crowd your days with a million things to do… make time during the day just for you. Even if that is just 15 to 30 minutes a day, because if you are always rushed all day, doing one thing after another, your mind and body will tire out and at some point will just want to shut down.

2| Don’t Ignore The Signs Your Body Gives You
Our body always gives us signs of when we need to stop and calm down. Some people tend to ignore the little signs their body gives them until all those small signs lead to a big sign, and now they have no choice but to listen to what their body needs. Try your best to listen to your body before it gets to something more severe.
3| Don’t Expect To Be Perfect In Everything
I can fall into this trap sometimes, by expecting to be a perfect wife, perfect daughter, perfect friend, perfect in my work, etc. Although there is nothing wrong with trying to be your best in everything, don’t ever expect perfection from yourself. Because that will never happen, all you can do is try your best and let that be enough for you.
4| Don’t Wait To Be Happy Until You Achieve Something
I am sure at some point in your life you have told yourself, “I will be happy when ___________.”
But don’t wait to be happy until you achieve something. Like I have said once before…
Be happy with what you have currently achieved and look forward to achieving your future accomplishments 🙂
5| Accept Yourself The Way You Are While Striving To Become Better
This one is very important because we will always have to work on ourselves the rest of our lives. But you need to learn to accept yourself the way you are right now because you will never feel happy with yourself if you wait to accept yourself until you become the person you want to be.
We will always be a work in progress.
Focus on your positive qualities and your strengths; this will help keep you motivated to continue bettering yourself while accepting yourself as you are 🙂
6| Don’t Worry About What Others Think Of You
Everyone has their own opinions of others, just because someone has a particular opinion about you, doesn’t mean that it’s true. That is their reality, not yours. Don’t worry about what others think of you, the perception you have of yourself is all that matters 😉
7| Don’t Wait For Something New To Happen
It would be great if new opportunities would come knock on your door every day. Although that can happen sometimes, most of the time, we are the ones who need to create that new opportunity for ourselves.

You can either wait for something amazing to happen, or you can make it happen yourself. It’s entirely up to you! 🙂
8| Stop Overthinking
Last but not least is to stop overthinking. We can’t control what goes on in life, but we can control our thoughts. Overthinking usually creates a problem in our mind that doesn’t even exist in real life.
If you struggle with overthinking, then I would recommend you read this great book called Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff. This book helped me so much, and I am positive it can help you too. You read more information about that book here.

This is a very good compilation. I agree with most of these above tips, but it’s hard to stay true to them. This will be my new years resolution.
Completely agree! It is hard to do all these at once. Just start with one and once you feel like you have that one down, go on to the next one 🙂

Hi Miss, to tell you the truth what really grab my attention was 6 and 7,I think they related to me,sometimes I really struggle with what they think of me but I try na ignore sometimes, and really I need to motivate my self about when don’t sit and wait till it happen but push to get true in life.I love these two,if encase you realize i need to work on something else by just see my reactions in some way’s let me know please.????have a great day Miss Janett hope the hot chocolate was awesome.

I love tip #4 “Don’t expect to be perfect at everything.” Recently I just noticed how harmful it is to be a perfectionist in multiple areas of my life. It’s simply impossible & ultimately leaves me feeling emotionally withdrawn. Great post!
