How you start your days is how you start every day of your life. We tend just to wake up and go through the day without a plan. It’s essential to start our mornings right because it impacts how the rest of our day will go. Even when challenges arise, you will know how to react to them. I will be giving some suggestions on how to start your morning right that can help you set a morning routine that works best for you! 🙂
Start With Gratitude
Beginning your morning with gratitude for all the good things you have in your life is an excellent way to start your day. Express gratitude and think of all the amazing things you have in your life. Everyone has something to be grateful for, even on bad days.
If you have time in the morning, write down what you are thankful for and read it to yourself, it will help you see how truly blessed you are. If you don’t have the time, you can still think about everything you are appreciative for and feel the gratitude in your heart.
It’s a great way to start your morning because your heart will feel full of gratitude and you will feel happy. While writing this, I started thinking about everything I am grateful for and I can’t help but have a huge smile on my face 🙂 and I know it can help you feel the same way too!
Own Your Morning
Your the only one that has the power over your day. Start every morning by planning out how you want your day to be, how you want to feel that day and what you want to accomplish that day.
Not every day is going to be perfect, we all face challenges, but the question is… how will you react to them? Are you mentally prepared for how you will respond to those challenges? The challenges are not the problem; it’s how we react to them.
Focus On Your Health
Before you start your day, focus on your health. Make sure you are hydrated and drink plenty of water. Take water with you wherever you go. Eat a nourishing breakfast. Try to move, whether that’s going for a run, walk or exercise. For those that don’t have much time in the morning, try at least stretching for 2-5 minutes.
Also, try taking some time to breathe deeply. Even if it’s just for 5-10 minutes, this can help you feel calm and at peace. Which will help you build patience; that way, if you have a problem or challenge during your day you will react peacefully.
My goal is that no matter what I am faced with, I will always respond in a peaceful, calm manner. I admire those people that are always so calm and patient. If you aren’t a patient person by nature, then I recommend taking the time to a deep breath at any time of the day, it’s something that can help you build your patience tremendously.
Use Positive Affirmations
I had written about positive affirmations in this post. Positive affirmations is simply having positive self-talk. The majority of the time, we are having negative thoughts about ourselves throughout the day. Which doesn’t make us feel good and doesn’t help us in achieving what we want in life.
By practicing positive affirmations daily, you will rewire your brain to start thinking more positively about yourself and your life. Which in turn will change your whole life.
Read Or Watch Something Positive
There will be some mornings when you just don’t feel motivated for the day. What you can do is read or watch something that is positive and will motivate you to have a great day! Sometimes just reading one sentence or watching a short video can uplift your mood and motivate you. Even if you do feel motivated for the day, if you still take the time to read or watch something positive, you will feel even better!
There have been times when I feel unmotivated, and I read a book, an article or watch something that motivates me, and I automatically feel different, I feel more energy, positive, and motivated for the day!
That’s what I want my blog to do, to inspire and motivate you. To be a place where you can come to when you are having a bad day, feeling down, or just need motivation. My goal is for you to leave here feeling inspired and motivated. That way, you can, in turn, make someone else feel that way too.

Get Moving
I notice an increase in my energy when I do stretches or go out for a walk in the morning. The point is to get moving every morning, whether that is by taking a short walk, going for a run, doing stretches, Pilates, or doing a quick workout. Whatever you prefer and makes you feel good.
I think it’s great to get your workout done in the morning that way during that day you don’t have to worry about it anymore and you can focus on the rest of your tasks.
Summary
These are just a few suggestions that can help start your morning right; everyone has different schedules, you do what works for you, as long as your morning routine is benefiting how the rest of your day goes. Remember that how you start each day is how you start the rest of your life!
