Motivation is essential in order to keep progressing in your daily life. Staying motivated is not always easy though. At times you might feel tired or overwhelmed by all that you do feeling like it’s never good enough. The great news is that it’s not impossible to keep yourself motivated, there are things that you can do to stay motivated throughout your life. Today I will be sharing with you six tips on how to do so…
1. GENERATE MOTIVATION
We ourselves are capable of generating motivation within ourselves at any moment. It’s up to us if we want to generate negativity which will lead to feeling unmotivated or if we want to generate positivity and feel motivated. Know that the potential to become motivated already exists within you, you just need to know how to bring it out.
Here are some ways that can help…
2. SET GOALS & ENVISION YOUR OUTCOME
Setting goals and envisioning your outcome helps you stay motivated and keep you going. If you focus on how hard it is, it will be very difficult to stay motivated and keep pursuing that goal. Keep your focus on what you will gain by achieving that goal and how fulfilled you will feel. This will motivate you to push through the obstacles because your reward will be worth it 😉
3. TAKE BREAKS
Taking breaks throughout the day will allow you to come back to your work with a clearer mind. Working for hours without end will make you feel drained and tired which will end up making you feel unmotivated. Try taking breaks during the day. Eat a healthy snack, keep yourself hydrated, walk for a little to keep your blood circulating, and if you can, do some stretches. It will keep you feeling energized and keep you motivated to finish what you started.
4. REWARD YOURSELF
When you accomplish something during the day, reward yourself and take the time to do things you love. Even if what you accomplished was something small, it’s still getting you closer to achieve your goal. It will motivate you to keep going because every time you accomplish something you will reward yourself 🙂
5. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH MOTIVATED PEOPLE
Surround yourself with people that inspire you and motivate you to keep growing as a person in every aspect of your life. People that are positive and supportive of what you want to accomplish in your life and are sincerely happy for you when you pursue your goals. You can also watch motivational videos or if you like reading, you can read motivational books. Just surround your life with positivity and motivation so you can feel motivated at all times.
6. DO SOMETHING NEW & CREATIVE
Sometimes we lose motivation because we get used to our daily routines and want to stay in our comfort zone. Change things up, do something new and creative, challenge yourself. Be spontaneous, adventurous, try new things and go to new places. Just by doing something new can make you feel inspired and motivated.
SUMMARY
Staying motived has to become a part of you. Of course, you will still have some days when you feel unmotivated but if you always have something to look forward to and have goals you want to accomplish, it will be easier to feel motivated 🙂
I would love to know what you do to stay motivated! ♡ You can share it in the comments below…
Have a lovely day! 🙂
HI JANETT,
I am rosemarie and I desperately need to organize my apartment! I have
finally got started with enthusiasm from doing calligraphy. I have just
started doing this for only a few days…but my what a difference WITHIN
me~ So I am looking forward to cleaning10- 15 mins/ daily of and
sorting/throwing out things I do not need. My mind does not seem to
‘logger jam’ any more! I am most grateful for this. It truly amazes me how doing calligraphy, my own, at this point, really made an impact! All of my prayers for oh so long ago are finally coming into a reality. I
sit before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and do my calligraphy just with my ordinary pen and it is so exciting and refreshing! Then I read
Scriptures and the Psalms especially are a great avenue of Praise and
Worship as are the Gospels, four of them plus all of the OT & New Testament.
Then there are times when God gives me a Scripture and I start to do
the Scripture in calligraphy as well. I have purchased two books on
calligraphy and I am looking for a place where they have classes in the Central New Jersey area! so I can really learn how to do it!
I recently encountered a fantastic book “Velveteen Principles” by Toni
D’Antonio. She took the marvelous child’s classic “The Velveteen Rabbit and put it into everyday examples of living a REAL life verses
one of being ‘generic’! It is just awesome. She is a Therapist and a Professor of Social Work. She did an awesome job of bringing forth all
of the ‘hidden’ wisdom in this Classic Story. It is on Amazon.com go to “the other sellers” unless you are on Prime. Even then, it is worth the
wait of 2 weeks to save approximately $12.00. This book is what initially got me believing in myself again as I reflected back on the Scriptures that have been given to me and see the Scriptures coming to Real Life as I have prayed over them through this book! Awesome,
just awesome. This is not a ‘religious’ book. I used it in conjunction with my Scriptures as God’s Word is a two edged Sword and it gets to
he ‘heart’ of the problem ! God bless, rosemarie
I am glad you have found something you are passionate about and makes you happy 🙂 I will have to check out that book, it sounds great. Thank you for the recommendation! I’m happy to see people like you that know how important spirituality is. Hope you end up finding calligraphy classes to continue pursuing it! 🙂
Have a wonderful day Rosemarie!
